Python Foundations by Building

OBJECTIVE: learn Python by building 8 small, useful programs — fast, without long theory. WHAT WE COVER: • Project setup: virtual environment, VS Code, notebooks, Git and GitHub • Variables, input/output, numbers and strings, formatting • Lists, tuples, sets, dictionaries and comprehensions • if / elif / else, None and truthiness, lookup tables • Loops: for, while, enumerate, zip, break/continue, retries • Functions, arguments, lambda, type hints, modules and the standard library • Files (JSON, CSV), error handling and logging • Classes, inheritance and dataclasses • Calling APIs, generators and async (glimpse) AFTER THIS MODULE YOU CAN: • Write clean, organised Python scripts • Read and write files, handle errors and log what happens • Call a web API and process its JSON
