OBJECTIVE: launch an AI receptionist that answers a clinic's (or salon's) phone, answers common questions, books appointments into a real calendar, and transfers to a human when needed — built on Vapi with very little code — and learn how to design, test and measure an inbound voice agent. WHAT WE COVER (in project order): • Defining the call goal and success measures • Designing the call flow and writing the voice prompt • Configuring the assistant: transcriber, model, voice, first message, end-of-call rules • Knowledge base for FAQs • Tools: check slots and book appointments through a small webhook API • Phone number, call transfer to a human, and ending calls • Testing with scripted test calls, reading transcripts and recordings • Post-call analysis: summary, structured data, success evaluation sent to a sheet/CRM • Measuring: success rate, latency, transfer rate, cost per call AFTER THIS MODULE YOU CAN: • Launch a working inbound voice agent on a real phone number in a day • Connect it to your own systems with tools and webhooks • Test and improve it using call data TOOLS: Vapi, a small FastAPI webhook (or a no-code automation tool), Google Calendar/Cal.com or a simple database, Google Sheets for call logs.
